Panendoscopy LBO

Panendoscopy is a diagnostic procedure performed, to look for or to diagnose cancers in the upper aerodigestive tract.

It is performed under a general anaesthetic and involves a variety of instruments being introduced through the mouth to look at the oral cavity, the voice box, the windpipe or trachea and the oesophagus (swallowing tube).

If any abnormalities are found, a biopsy is performed and it is then sent for histopathological evaluation.
It is performed under general anaesthetic as a day only procedure.
