In addition to routine physical examination, endoscopic examination
of the nose under local anaesthesia is usually performed at
the time of consultation. Arrangements are made for appropriate
x-rays, which usually involves a CT scan of the nose and paranasal
sinuses.
Comprehensive allergy workup, usually by means of a blood
test called an IgE and RAST is also performed. A full range
of ancillary investigations, such as nasal airflow studies
using computerised active anterior rhinomanometry are also
performed.
A full range of medical management, including the use of customized
intranasal sprays is provided by the Clinic.
If surgery is required over 4,000 endoscopic sinus surgical
procedures have been performed by the Clinic to date and a
full range of current and innovative techniques are available. |
